Jennie H.

As Practice Manager, I manage and create systems to ensure the highest standard of care so the team can serve patients to the best of their ability. I began my career in orthodontics in 1994 and I have been with the practice since it opened in Grand Ledge in 2007. I am the coach of an amazing team that has grown the practice together over last several years in order to provide confident, beautiful smiles for each and every patient. I appreciate working with Drs. Burkhardt and Pecora because they are both amazing people and wonderful orthodontists who treat both their patients and team with kindness and consideration. I live in Dewitt  with my husband Matt, our three children and a dog named Bodhi. When not working, I can most likely be found at one of the kids’ many sporting events or school functions. I also enjoy reading, traveling, and DIY projects I learn from my new-found discovery, Pinterest.

Jen S.

I am the practice's Treatment & Marketing Coordinator. At the initial visit, I will help to walk patients through their orthodontic needs and make sure they have all of the information needed to feel comfortable in choosing to begin orthodontic care. Once our patients leave their initial consultation, I am always there to put them at ease and answer any questions they may have. I have been working in orthodontics since 2004, joining Orthodontic Specialists of Mid-Michigan in April of 2007. I enjoy getting new patients excited about their treatment, as well as helping to create a relaxed and pleasurable atmosphere. I also look forward to constantly building relationships with referring dentists and their staff. I live in Lansing with Ricardo and our English Bulldog named Einstein. I love to travel, cook, stay active, and spend time with my family and friends.

Tina B.

As the Clinical Coordinator,  I manage patient flow to help everything run smoothly. Also, as an orthodontic assistant, I work alongside Drs. Burkhardt and Pecora with patient care. I began working in the dental field in 1998, joining Drs. Burkhardt and Pecora in January of 2007. With my energetic and fun-loving spirit, I appreciate the upbeat environment that our entire staff has created. I love working with the patients, watching their smiles change as they feel good about themselves by the end of their treatment, and knowing that I have been a part of this process. I live in Grand Ledge and am married to my wonderful husband, Kevin. We have two children, Isabella and Kyle, and a dog named Lilly.
 

Beth

As an Orthodontic Assistant, my duties cover chairside assistance, taking X-rays, impressions, and photos. I am also the practice Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) coordinator. I began working at Orthodontic Specialists of Mid-Michigan in 2006 after working in the dental field since 1978. I love interacting with patients and parents in order to find a truly personal connection. I am particularly enthusiastic about working with Dr. Burkhardt and Dr. Pecora for the passion they show for their work, how they treat their patients, and the pleasurable and caring atmosphere that makes the practice such an exceptional place to work. I am married and have two sons out of college, plus a dog named Sadie. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, as well as exercising, traveling, and engaging in church activities.
 

Tina H.

As an Orthodontic Assistant, I help our doctors in the clinic where I am responsible for chairside duties, lab work, and making retainers. I am also the clinic’s Invisalign® liaison. I began working in the dental field in 1993, joining the Burkhardt and Pecora team in 2009. I enjoy my interactions with patients along with the variety of my daily tasks. Working with such knowledgeable, patient and generous doctors who care about each patient and team member makes my time at the practice a pure pleasure! I live in Grand Ledge, have one son in college. I enjoy cooking, travel, reading, biking, and horses in my free time.
 

Shonlyn

I love easing the anxiety of our younger patients and watching the changes of their facial expressions as they relax and become comfortable in our office. As an Orthodontic Assistant, I help our doctors make each person’s smile beautiful in any way I can. I began working in the dental field in 2005, joining Dr. Burkhardt in his Okemos office in 2006 and then Orthodontic Specialists of Mid-Michigan in 2011. I agree with the rest of the team that Drs. Burkhardt and Pecora’s patience and kindness, along with their fun-loving natures makes coming to work every day something to look forward to. I have two children and love to spend my time outdoors with them, as well as enjoying the company of friends and family.

Kelly

Interacting with our patients and watching their confidence grow is what I enjoy most about being an Orthodontic Assistant.   I began working in the orthodontic field in 2010 and  joined Dr. Burkhardt and Dr. Pecora's practice in 2012 and assist them in creating beautiful smiles for our patients.  The best part of working with our doctors is being part of a dedicated, caring team who are passionate about what we do.  When I am not working, I am enjoying life with my two beautiful daughters.  I am usually spending my time with my family and we love spending our summer weekends on Lake Michigan .
 

Lindsey

I am an Orthodontic Assistant and Lab Technician.  I have been with Orthodontic Specialists of Mid-Michigan since 2011 when I began my career in the dental field. My favorite part of my job is getting to interact with my coworkers and the patients, as well as working for doctors who truly care. I have been dating my boyfriend for two years and like to read, bow hunt, fish, camp, and do just about anything outdoors.

Tena Jo

I began working in the dental field in 2007 and joined Dr. Burkhardt and Dr. Pecora's team in 2012.  Being a Clinical Assistant allows me to be part of a team that creates beautiful smiles.  Along with working in the clinic, I also am responsible for sterilization.  During my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, friends and my dog Otis.
